How can we define what science and technology?
Science is the search for knowledge. Scientists study the world around us. You see how things work and develop ideas on how to increase their effectiveness. Sometimes they will try to explain an idea, as does most anything. Scientists do experiments to understand how things work. Knowledge is useful to find out a lot. It can help to build new machines. It may help scientists develop new drugs or cure any disease. The technology is the use of scientific knowledge to create new things.
So what is an inventor?
An inventor is a person, a new idea or device to perform a task creates. An invention is a new technology has created. An inventor of a new idea or conception of an invention may decide that the idea of protection. The idea is the protection of the law in a document called a patent. A patent prevents others from making, using or selling the new idea without the permission of the inventor. Some inventions are simply a new way to build the or something. You can improve an existing technology. Other inventions are much more complicated.
Current technology has in the development process for thousands of years. New inventions changed the way we work and play. Change the way we think and live. The future will bring us still more changes. This will happen as we learn more about the world.
Do we have to rely on science and technology?
What did you do today? Do you have spoken on the phone? Come to travel by car or bus? Did you use a computer, or turn on a light? If you have done all these things, the technology used.
Almost everyone uses some form of technology at work, at home or at school. Programmers to use computer technology to write a computer program. You can write letters using a computer program called a word processor. Many people work in the entertainment industry. Camera operators use television cameras and film. They serve to make TV shows and movies. DJ or DJ playing records and CDs and the radio.
Scientists use all kinds of technologies to study Earth and the universe. Companies often offer fax machines, telephones and computers. Graphic designers use desktop publishing software to create books and magazines. Physicians often use medical devices. They use it to treat injuries, illnesses and diseases such as cancer. Pilots fly airplanes and helicopters. Who knows what jobs are created by new technologies in the future!
